The Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries, Food and Animal Rights Anton Refalo has launched the ‘Fresh and Local Cooking’ campaign to promote as much as possible the use of the products that our land provides. The aim of this campaign is to raise awareness and appreciate and use products from Maltese and Gozitan farmers and ranchers.
Minister Anton Refalo emphasized “Responsibility towards those who are working and striving, even against the elements of nature, non-stop and with sacrifice. From here, things get trickier, and this is where the true meaning of life lies. Through this competition, we are reminding how important it is to respect the local product both as a tool to enable the consumer to make better choices for his health and for the palate. I conclude by congratulating everyone who intends to take part in this competition and reminding them to be responsible, have fun and choose the best local and fresh produce! ”
