Malta was surprisingly omitted from the Uk’s Green Travel list announced by UK Transport Secretary Grant Shapps on Friday evening.
With it’s impressive track record in combating the effects of the coronavirus Malta had been expected to be included in the Green Travel category, where tourists would only have to provide proof of vaccination and not require isolation or quarantine.
Portugal is the only European country to make the list together with the Azores and Madeira, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Brunei, Iceland, Faroe Islands, Gibraltar, Falkland Islands and Israel.
