Over the last 10 days, from December 22nd to New Year’s Day, Malta police conducted over 170 roadchecks, stopping more than 4700, vehicles and issuing over 400

𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗻𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗮 & 𝗚𝗼𝘇𝗼.
Key Results:
85+ speeding tickets issued via speed gun inspections.
11 drivers tested positive during breathalyser checks.
Several vehicles towed due to invalid/expired road licenses.
As a preventative measure, the police also distributed and affixed educational material on parked cars to promote the message – Don’t Drink & Drive.
