Traffic inspections during festive period

Police traffic checks December 2024
Over the last 10 days, from December 22nd to New Yearโ€™s Day, Malta police conducted over 170 roadchecks, stopping more than 4700, vehicles and issuing over 400
charges & tickets.

Key Results:
85+ speeding tickets issued via speed gun inspections.
11 drivers tested positive during breathalyser checks.
Several vehicles towed due to invalid/expired road licenses.
As a preventative measure, the police also distributed and affixed educational material on parked cars to promote the message – Donโ€™t Drink & Drive.
