Justice for Ukraine, Accountability for Russia!
On December 6, near the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre in Ħ’Attard the Ukrainian community in Malta held a protest event against the visit of Sergey Lavrov, Russia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, to the OSCE conference.
In alignment with the official Ukrainian governmental delegation, the community members gathered in protest and to express their deep concern over the decision to invite a Russian politician responsible for war crimes, child abductions, and the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine to an event hosted by a democratic country that upholds values of human rights and freedom.
War is a crime, and its initiators must be held accountable. The Ukrainian community called on the global community to continue supporting Ukraine and to resist the normalization of aggression on the international stage. Ukraine is fighting not only for its freedom but also for the preservation of the principles that underpin the democratic world.
