Prime Minister Robert Abela added tourism to the responsibilities of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism Ian Borg. The Prime Minister took this step because of the link between foreign affairs, the needs of small countries and the work in favor of quality, which started in the tourism sector, an equally important area for the country.
The Parliamentary Secretary for Public Cleanliness Glenn Bedingfield will continue to have the same responsibilities but will join the Ministry for the Environment, Energy and Public Cleanliness led by Minister Miriam Dalli.
The Minister for National Heritage, Arts and Local Government Owen Bonnici will assume responsibility for the film industry.
