While addressing the SkillScape conference, President Myriam Spiteri Debono acknowledged the work and efforts of the National Skills Council, focusing on the needs and skills workers are expected to have in today’s ever changing world scenario and workplace practices.
The President emphasised that tomorrow’s skills ought to be taught as part of a lifelong process that starts from an early school age right up to old age, as an ongoing process of skill enhancing and thought evolvement meant to find solutions to a continuously changing and evolving technological scenario.
The President also emphasised the importance of the teaching of thinking skills, preferably to be incorporated as part of school curricula and job training to foster creativity of mind and mutual resilience to find solutions to emerging problems.
