The Minister for Social and Affordable Accommodation Roderick Galdes inaugurated a new social housing project in Qrendi. This project will be providing residences to twenty-six families and was made through an investment of just under 4 million euros.
Minister Galdes during the inauguration of this project explained how this substantial investment in the field of social housing is being made in order “not only to provide a safe roof, but also, to offer a dignified environment, where the our families will be able to live in a residence that will continue to raise their quality of life.” “We want to support these families, so that they can live in a residence that offers a nice future, both for them and for their children. This investment was also made in the heart of the community, because we fully believe in the inclusiveness of every individual in our society,” Minister Galdes said.
This new building incorporates twenty six residences, as well as twenty garages. This project is the second of three new social housing projects in the Qrendi locality. The first project that has already been inaugurated consisted of eleven new social housing residences. The Minister reiterated that he looks forward to continuework on the mentioned housing projects. “We do this in order to continue to make a difference in the lives of the families that benefit from these projects and to continue to raise the quality of life of Maltese and Gozitan families”, concluded Minister Galdes.
