The non-resident High Commissioner of the Republic of The Gambia Noah Touray, presented his Letters of Credence to President Myriam Spiteri Debono at the Presidential Palace, Valletta.
During the meeting, President Spiteri Debono congratulated the High Commissioner on the fact that The Gambia is one of the safest and most politically stable countries in Africa.
The discussion on bilateral relations centred on possibilities of investments as well as exchanges, such as in education, which can draw the two peoples nearer to each other, especially since both countries are familiar with the English language.
The High Commissioner praised the common values of The Gambia and Malta, evidenced by their respective approach to world affairs as manifested in the Commonwealth and other international fora.
