Prime Minister Robert Abela is joining the other 26 heads the member states of the European Union in Brussels tonight for a special session of the European Council.
The informal meeting between the European leaders is to analyse the message delivered by the electorate in the last European Parliament elections.
This summit also aims to pave the way for the European Council to elect its own President, nominate the President of the European Commission, and appoint the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security, for years to come.
