Prime Minister Robert Abela has poured cold water on a tarmac plant that was ear-marked to be built at Mqabba, saying that it will not be built there.
Residents from Mqabba and neighbouring areas have been protesting about the plant which was due to move from Hal Far industrial zone to Mqabba.
Prime Minister Abela said he had listened to the people and promised that the tarmac plant would not be relocating to Mqabba.
The Prime Minister was speaking to supporters at a Labour rally in Zurrieq.
