Investment of over €20 million in the renovation of one of the main hotels in St Paul’s Bay

The building which until a few months ago was known as the Dolmen hotel in St. Paul il-Baħar, today renamed as Double Tree Hilton Malta.

This was done through an investment of over €20 million which involved renovating the facilities of the hotel which included rooms, the main entrance and conference facilities. In fact, it is estimated that more than 290 rooms have been renovated, the number of restaurants in the hotel has been increased as well as an investment to improve the efficiency in energy consumption that Double Tree Hilton Malta.

These details were announced during the inauguration of this investment by the Minister for Tourism and Public Cleanliness Clayton Bartolo. The minister pointed out how this investment goes hand in hand with the Government’s plan to continue updating the local tourist product with today’s needs.

“The investment we are seeing in this major hotel in the north of the country highlights the synergy that exists between the public and private sectors so that Product Malta continues to attract tourists of a higher quality during the whole year,” stated Minister CBartolo and added that the trust that exists among the hospitality industry must reflect in wealth enjoyed by all Maltese and Gozitans.
