Agreement signed with Victim Support Malta in order to continue to strengthen the services they offer

Minister for Social Policy and Children’s Rights Michael Falzon presides over the signing of financial agreement with Victim Support Malta

The Ministry for Social Policy and Children’s Rights continued to strengthen community work through financial reinforcement of social agreements it has with various non-governmental organizations.

For this purpose, a social agreement was signed with Victim Support Malta which offers services led by professionals in the social field and therapeutic, psychiatric, and even legal services for people who have gone through some difficulties. This agreement amounts to €600,000 spread over 3 years in order to continue to offer services from this NGO.

“Through such agreements we are continuing to increase our visibility, and reach those who need support the most. Committed to continuing to assist these organizations so that they continue to offer the public these services,” stressed the Minister for Social Policy and Children’s Rights Michael Falzon.

For his part, the Director of Victim Support Malta Karl Grech made an appeal so that those who feel vulnerable, or have gone through a traumatic experience, are not afraid to speak confidentially with this NGO, so that they can start benefiting from the therapy.
