Prime Minister Robert Abela had a meeting with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez before the Special European Council that is being convened in Brussels.
The two leaders discussed the situation in the Middle East, in particular the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the importance of a permanent ceasefire together with the release of hostages captured by Hamas in ‘Last October.
Malta and Spain are also two countries out of four member states that have agreed that the two-state solution is crucial for peace in the Middle East.
