The Maltese Prime Minister with other European leaders started the Summit at the Royal Palace with a meeting with the King of Belgium.
In comments to the media after the start of the Summit, he spoke about important current themes including the tensions in the Middle East and mentioned how in the Council he will deliver a message from the relatives of the hostages held by Hamas and announced that Malta will welcome more wounded children in Gaza to receive the necessary treatment.
