Universal Air will start regular flights from Malta to a variety of destinations around the Mediterranean and Europe from March 26.
CEO Simon Cook said the airline, new to Malta and based here on the island, will offer travelers that little bit extra while still providing affordable flights. Universal Air will offer a “premium economy service with low-cost prices” – a middle ground between budget airlines and more expensive operators.
Universal Air will initially operate up to three flights a week to Athens, Corfu, Ibiza, Munich, Palermo and Pécs (Hungary), with more destinations planned for later this year. A one-way ticket to Palermo will start at around €30.
