The Malta International Fireworks Festival returns between 20 and 30 April

Between the 20th and 30th of April the Malta International Fireworks Festival will return. This cultural event is scheduled to light up the Maltese skies with a pyrotechnic show to which the associations and fire chambers of Malta and Gozo are expected to contribute.

This event will include pyrotechnic shows in Valletta, Marsaxlokk, Nadur, Mellieħa and the climax will be reached on the last day of the month with a show in Port il-Kbir.

These details were announced in a news conference by the Minister for Tourism and Public Cleanliness Clayton Bartolo and the Chief Executive of the Malta Tourism Authority Carlo Micallef.

Minister Clayton Bartolo pointed out how fireworks are an integral part of what makes us Maltese and Gozitan. “The Fireworks Festival is held not only for tourists but also for Maltese and Gozitan families. It is an example of how we can expose the diversified product that our country offers,” continued Minister Clayton Bartolo.

The Chief Executive of the MTA Carlo Micallef stated that the Authority advertises the Fire Festival throughout Europe and the rest of the world, so that specific groups of people make their way to Malta for this a festival. “This event helps Malta attract a different profile of tourists at a time when the busy summer season is a few weeks away,” concluded Mr. Micallef.
