Cardiologist Robert Xuereb has been appointed as Chief Executive of the Medical Services Foundation. The Minister for Health and Active Aging Jo Etienne Abela wished Dr. Robert Xuereb well for his new role.
Dr. Xuereb is a pioneer in cardiology in Malta. In the past he served as president of the Maltese Society of Cardiology and in the nineties he was key in establishing the first interventional cardiology services in Malta. Thanks to his work in this sector, Malta is now recognized as a center of excellence in the field of heart care. In 2023 he received the Republic Award by the President of Malta George Vella.
