Rosianne Cutajar may have a way back into the Labour Party as Prime Minister Robert Abela revealed that he is reconsidering her position.
Cutajar, currently an independent MP, resigned from Cabinet in 2020 after allegations surfaced that she benefited from a property deal with Yorgen Fenech. Fenech is facing charges of complicity in the murder of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia.
Speaking to journalists, Prime Minister Robert Abela said “She paid a hefty price after what was revealed on the ITS consultancy. She was removed from the party’s executive and from government’s parliamentary group. I feel she has paid the biggest price.” However he did elaborate on what decision, if any, he might make.
