A man and a woman were arrested after stealing a wallet from a car in Marsa.
Police received a report at 8pm on Friday night that a couple had approached a man in a car in Marsa and asked for money. The women had entered his car and stole his wallet. The pair then fled the scene.
The police, with a description of the two suspects, began a search for them and shortly afterwards the woman was found and arrested in Triq is-Sajjied, while the man who was in a nearby shop was later arrested. The two people are being held in custody, with the investigations still ongoing.
