The Minister for Social and Affordable Accommodation Roderick Galdes inaugurated a new dormitory in the Qormi FC Nursery with an investment of €30,000 from the Housing Development Fund, a fund within the Housing Authority.
Minister Roderick Galdes emphasized how this project, which consists of a restructuring in the Nursery dormitory, will serve to help children and young people train, learn and grow not only in football talent but also in their walk as young athletes.
“This project is a living example of what we want to deliver in our communities through the Housing Development Fund. Housing goes beyond the residential roof. Recreational accommodations such as the Qormi FC Youth Nursery also offer a roof for these young people that help them develop into the men and women of tomorrow,” said Minister Galdes.
This project is one of seven that are being carried out in the community through this fund and joins another project that was inaugurated a few weeks ago in Birgu where a house was opened that is receiving prisoners in the last part of their sentence where they follow a program of rehabilitation and reintegration back into the community.
