A 49-year-old man from Bormla was arrested in connection with an arson attack in Paola.
Police received a report shortly after 4am that a man had been spotted on cctv setting fire to bins in Fr Charles Platter Street in Paola.
Investigations by the police led to the suspect being arrested in Paola on Wednesday morning.
