New agreement for public service employees working in the fire department at Mater Dei Hospital and at the St Vincent de Paul Residence

The Ministry for Health and the Ministry for Active Aging, together with the General Workers Union (GWU), have signed a new agreement for public service employees working in the fire department at Mater Hospital Dei and in the Residence St. Vincent de Paul.

The agreement that was signed ensured, among others, more training opportunities for these workers to advance more quickly in their careers and as well as an increase in allowances.

The agreement was signed by the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry for Health Joseph Chetcuti, by the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry for Active Aging Christine Schembri and Kendrick Bondin and Laurence Bugeja on behalf of the GWU.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health Chris Fearne and the Minister for Active Aging Jo Etienne Abela, who presided over this signing, thanked the three parties for the collaboration that led to this agreement. They wished good work to the workers of this section.
