Birkirkara put recent poor results behind them with a solid 3-0 rout of Hamrun Spartans.
That win, on the heels of three losses from four games, means B’Kara join four other teams on 13 points.
They are joined by Balzan who hit three past bottom club Sirens.
Today league leaders Floriana take on old foes Valletta who are currently lagging behind in 10th place and ten points adrift of the top. A win would send Floriana clear by themselves, three points ahead of Hamrun.
Hibernians have seen an upturn in results in recent weeks and a win over Sliema Wanderers would lift them clear of the pack and into third spot by themselves. The same can be said of Sliema who have come through a similar run of results to Hibs.
Also in the hunt for points are Marsaxlokk who like Hibs and Sliema will be aiming to climb above the group with a win over struggling Gudja Utd.
