Minister for Foreign and European Affairs and Trade Ian Borg continued with further discussions with Saudi Arabia with the aim of strengthening the existing cooperation between the two countries.
During his visit, Minister Borg held important meetings with the Minister for Investment, Khalid A. Al-Falih, as well as the Deputy Minister for Culture, Hamed bin Mohammed Fayez. Both sides acknowledged the robust relations in these sectors and the need to strengthen them for the benefit of the people.
Minister Borg stated that through ongoing discussions, new opportunities are being explored at both governmental and commercial levels. He was accompanied by the Chairpersons of Arts Council Malta, Trade Malta, Property Malta, along with officials from the Ministry of Tourism and the leadership of the Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS), together with the Foreign Affairs Ministry Head of Secretariat. Also present was the Maltese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Clive Aquilina Spagnol.
The Maltese delegation also visited other sites, including the Al Masmak Palace Museum, Neom – The Line Experience, and the Jax District.
