A co-ordinated night-time operation by the Police Force, together with Transport Malta and the Agency of Local Enforcement (LESA) saw checks carried out on 267 vehicles.
While the majority of drivers were found to be within the law, a small number were found to be driving without a license and several found in possession of drugs.
Most of the roadside checks were carried out around Valletta and Floriana.
