The Prime Minister Robert Abela gives recognition to the athletes of Special Olympics Malta after the success achieved in Berli

 The Prime Minister Robert Abela welcomed in the Berga of Castile and gave recognition to the athletes who represented Malta in the Special Olympics World Games held in Berlin in the past few days.
The Prime Minister and his wife Lydia Abela thanked the athletes, the technical team from Special Olympics Malta and the parents who were all supportive of the athletes who achieved success for our country. In fact, in these Special Olympics World Games, Malta obtained the largest amount of gold medals. Our country won sixteen gold medals, eleven silver medals and four bronze medals in seven sports disciplines in which it competed.
Prime Minister Abela pointed out that sport is another medium where everyone can be a protagonist and congratulated the Maltese contingent. The presentation of the recognition to each athlete of Special Olympics Malta was also attended by the Minister for Inclusion, Volunteering and Consumer Rights Julia Farrugia Portelli and the Minister for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation Clifton Grima.
