The Minister for Justice Jonathan Attard presented the warrant to 11 new public notaries after they demonstrated their competence to exercise the profession.
In the presence of the Permanent Secretary Johann Galea, the Attorney General Dr Victoria Buttigieg, the Government Notary Dr Keith German and the President of the Notarial Council Dr Malcolm Mangion, Minister Attard congratulated the new notaries every success and appealed to follow the code of ethics and with observance of the fundamental values of truth, honesty, equity, integrity, independence, impartiality and freedom.
Government Notary Dr. Keith German said that with the inclusion of these notaries, the number of practicing notaries in our country will be around 400, while the number of ‘ notaries since 1465 up to today reaches around 1300 notaries.
