On Friday afternoon, the Malta Rescue Coordination Centre received a call from a fishing vessel requesting medical evacuation of one of its crew members who had been injured.
RCC Malta immediately directed Armed Forces of Malta unit to the location, and successfully rescued the casualty. He was handed over to a medical team from Mater Dei.
