Man City beat Utd to lift FA Cup

Manchester City showed how far ahead they are from rivals Manchester United in a controlled and decisive FA Cup Final victory at Wembley.

The fastest goal in Cup history came via Gundogan after just 12 seconds. That rocked United to the core as the blue side of Wembley erupted.

United did get a life-line back into the game when Grealish was adjudged to have handled the ball in the box. Bruno duly obliged and slotted the ball past Ortega.

1-1 at the break but City were in no mood to be denied. They took control of the game and who else but Gundogan to find the winner. He volleyed home De Bruin’s free kick to put City ahead for a second and decisive time.

2-1 at the final whistle and few can deny that Manchester City were deserved winners. It moves them a step closer to the unique treble. The Premier League, the FA Cup done and dusted and next weekend, the Champions League Final against Inter awaits.
