The Prime Minister Robert Abela visited a new investment of an international construction company that has carried out projects in several continents and that has been operating in our country for the last 20 years.
In a meeting with the company’s management and workers, also in the presence of the Turkish Ambassador to Malta, the Prime Minister noted again how Malta continues to attract strong foreign investment which testifies to the trust that exists in our country. This is at the same time that companies established in our country are continuing to strengthen their operations.
The Prime Minister was also informed about the investment made by the company in sustainable and environmentally friendly construction machinery with an investment exceeding €4 million. He noted how this type of investment is testimony to how the environmental transition can be made without hindering investment, as Malta remains open to investment and the Government will continue to take all decisions to facilitate investment.
During a meeting with management and workers, Prime Minister Robert Abela also noted the company’s participation in Government projects that are beneficial for all the Maltese and Gozitan people.
The management of the company expressed its confidence in our country. “We have been, still are and will continue to invest in our operation because we believe in the potential of this country. We are satisfied with the way Maltese companies and their workers work with us and I hope that we will continue to explore new horizons together,” said Kurt Akin and James Fenech, who are Directors of ESC.
Present during the visit was the Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects Aaron Farrugia, the Member of Parliament Cressida Galea and the Turkish Ambassador to Malta Erdeniz Sen.
