At a Council of Europe summit in Reykjavik, Iceland, Prime Minister Robert Abela signed the Council of Europe Agreement establishing the International Register of Damages, caused by the aggression in Ukraine.
This register will serve as evidence documentation that can be used in the future to ensure the financial responsibility of whoever is carrying out the aggression in Ukraine. This agreement follows the resolutions of the General Assembly of the United Nations as well as the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, which recognized the need to establish an international mechanism for the reparation of damages from illegal international acts during the war in Ukraine.
