A robbery at a jewellery shop in Sliema was foiled by quick thinking staff.
A man wearing a mask and carrying a knife entered the shop in Tower Road on Saturday evening but was spotted by staff who immediately called the police.
The would-be robber turned and fled before he could steal anything.
None of the staff were injured in the incident.
