Founded in Japan more than sixty years ago, this foundation promotes social initiatives in favor of food security, education and health and speaks actively on issues related to the marine environment.
In fact, the Nippon Foundation works very closely with the International Maritime Organization (IMO), an agency of the United Nations. Prime Minister Robert Abela thanked the Nippon Foundation for the full collaboration with the IMO, under whose auspices the International Maritime Law Institute (IMLI), which has a center in our country, works.
