Two trucks collided on the Hal Far road on Thursday morning leaving the driver of one of the trucks trapped inside the cab of his vehicle.
According to police the collision left one of the trucks lying off the side of the road in a field. The injured driver, a 66-year-old man from Zabbar was treated at the scene and then taken to Mater Dei Hospital where his injuries were described as serious.
