Ms Karen Galea appointed as Commander of the Academy of Disciplined Bodies and the first woman to serve in the highest position in one of the sectors of the Disciplined Bodies.
The Minister for the Interior, Security, Reforms and Equality Byron Camilleri nominated Ms. Karen Galea as the new Commander of the Academy of Disciplined Bodies. She will also be the first woman to serve in the highest office in one of the sectors of the Disciplined Bodies.
Karen Galea is a graduate of the University of Malta with a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, with a long experience in public service. Ms. Galea served for 22 years in various civilian roles of the Police Force, with her last post being that of Director of Administration and Finance of the Police Force.
While wishing her every success in her new post, Minister Byron Camilleri thanked the outgoing Commander, Mr. Joseph Cachia, for the valuable service he gave to the country.
