The Minister for Social and Affordable Accommodation Roderick Galdes inaugurated another new social housing building, this time in the locality of Ħ’Attard, which is part of one of the largest projects of a social nature.
Eight other families will be moving into this building after they too have gone through the application process and verifications and according to the allocation strategy.
The minister said that nowadays, through this allocation strategy, they are not only ensuring that people and families who are in need enter these houses due to particular circumstances and challenges they have faced, but also that these houses will always remain in the hands of the state; so that those who need help find as much as they need as long as they need it.
Minister Galdes concluded by saying that, “Today we are not marking the laying of stones, but more importantly for us, we are marking a chance for families in need to pave their future in stability.”
