After six games without a win, Valletta finally grabbed all three points with a 3-1 win over Balzan.
Kilian Bevis headed City in front early in the first half before Balzan’s Uros Ljubomirac slotted home the equalisier with ten minutes of the first period remaining.
Oke Akpoveta restored Valletta’s lead in the second half and the points were assured with Shaun Dimech’s free kick in extra time.
