A body was found in the sea some 15 nautical miles off the coast of Malta in an area known as Hurd’s Bank.
The badly decomposed corpse was spotted at around 3pm on Thursday.
An AFM patrol boat recovered the corpse and took it to Haywharf.
Police investigations are underway.
This is the second such grim discovery today. Earlier the body of a woman was found off the coast of Gozo.
