In Warsaw, Poland, where Minister Byron Camilleri is attending the meeting of the Security Forum, Minister Camilleri held a meeting with the Leader of the Opposition of Belarus Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.
During this meeting the situation in Belarus was discussed and the efforts of the European Union, which Malta supports, in order to maintain contact and ongoing discussion with the civil society in this country in order to return to normal. -basic rights that guide every democracy.
Minister Camilleri reiterated that Malta will continue to support the efforts being made for Belarus by also supporting the work being done by the OSCE and even the Council of Europe.
