Prime Minister Robert Abela is in New York, in the United States, where he will be participating in the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
With the theme “A watershed moment: transformative solutions to interlocking challenges”, the General Assembly will focus mostly on the realities brought about by the conflict in Ukraine, the pandemic, and climate change. The humanitarian challenges, education, minority rights, and the global economy in these circumstances are also themes that will be discussed.
While in New York, the prime minister will also have a series of bilateral meetings.
