A 66-year-old German died after finding himself in difficulties while he diving in the Żurrieq Valley.
At around four in the afternoon, Police were informed that the man himself in difficulty and was being assisted on the spot by members of the Maltese Red Cross Society.
They continued to assist until the arrival of a medical team and members from the Civil Protection Department.The man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment but unfortunately a short time later he died.
