Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh visited President George Vella on Wednesday evening at Sant’Anton Palace.
Prime Minister Dbeibeh emphasized the appreciation of the Libyan people for the friendship that Malta showed to his country. He also recalled the very strong contacts in the commercial field and between peoples that have developed over the years. President Vella expressed regret for the recent violent conflicts that led to the loss of lives and expressed his hope that a democratic process will be implemented, above all through the holding of elections. He reiterated his hope that dialogue and stability will prevail in the interest of the people of Libya and stability in the wider region.

He reiterated his hope for dialogue and stability to prevail in the interest of the people of Libya and broader regional stability.
