Police have arrested 27 people found to be living in Malta illegally
The arrests were made after officers from the Immigration Squad together with Community Police carried out a number of inspections in Marsa.
During these inspections officers spoke to a number of people of different nationalities and continued their investigations in a number of properties in Triq is-Serkin, Triq il- Jerrejja and Triq it-Tijrija.
These searches led police to arrest 27 people who were found to be living in Malta illegally. These were taken to the Police Headquarters in Floriana where the process was started to remove them from Malta.
The Police were assisted by officers from the Detention Service. Further investigations
are ongoing.
