“Isem Malta se jerġa’ jingħata l-fiduċja mistħoqqa”
Il-GWU tilqa’ b’mod pożittiv it-tneħħija ta’ Malta mil-lista l-griża tal-FATF
Il-General Workers’ Union laqgħet b’mod pożittiv it-tneħħija ta’ Malta mil-lista l-
griża. Pass importanti li se jgħin lill-ħaddiema kif ukoll lin-negozjanti.
“Issa, wara 12-il xahar, isem Malta se jerġa’ jingħata l-fiduċja mistħoqqa. Il-ħidma li
għamilna lkoll flimkien, anke bħala sħab soċjali fl-MCESD, għandha tgħin biex
pajjiżna jerġa’ jingħata l-kredibbiltà bħala istituzzjoni serja, bħala pajjiż li tista’
taħdem miegħu u li tista’ tinvesti fih. Tajna impenn ċar lill-FATF u l-bqija tal-pajjiż
bir-riformi li għamilna,” iddikjarat il-GWU.
Il-GWU saħqet ukoll dwar l-importanza li r-riformi li saru jibqgħu għaddejjin bil-
għan li nkomplu nsaħħu lil pajjiżna b’serjetà. Fil-istess waqt, li nkunu prattiċi ħalli
ma nxekklux it-tkabbir tal-ekonomija u l-investiment.
“Fosthom insemmu d-diffikulta li qegħdin jaffaċċjaw diversi ċittadini Maltin u
barranin biex jiftħu kontijiet mal-banek hawn Malta.”
Il-GWU tirringrazzja lill-Gvern u lill-Istituzzjonijiet Nazzjonali tal-ħidma tagħhom
biex pajjiżna reġa’ kiseb il-fiduċja mistħoqqa u temmet tgħid li dan il-pass għandu
jkompli jgħin fl-irkupru u t-tkabbir ekonomiku lokali f’dawn iż-żminijiet eċċezzjonali
li għaddejjin minnhom.

The GWU welcomes the removal of Malta from the FATF gray list
The General Workers ’Union welcomed the removal of Malta from the FATF grey list. An important step that will help workers as well as business people.
“Now, after 12 months, Malta’s name will be given the trust it deserves. The work that
we have all done together, even as social partners in the MCESD, it should help
give our country back its credibility as a serious institution, as a country that can
work with it and you can invest in it. We made a clear commitment to the FATF and the rest of the country with the reforms we have made, ”the GWU said.
The GWU also stressed the importance of continuing the reforms aim to continue to strengthen our country in earnest. At the same time, let’s be practical let alone we have not hampered the growth of the economy and investment.
“Among them we mention the difficulty that several Maltese citizens are facing and
to open bank accounts here in Malta. ”
The GWU thanks the Government and the National Institutions for their work
for our country to regain the trust it deserves and concludes that this step should be
continue to help local economic recovery and growth in these exceptional times
going through them.
