A 60-year-old man from St Paul’s Bay died following an argument in St Paul’s Bay in the early hours of Friday morning police said.
Officers had been called to a disturbance in Tourist Street in the town at around 1.30 this morning and were told that a man had been in an argument and then apparently fallen down stairs in an establishment in the street.
The injured man died shortly after being taken to Mater Dei Hospital.
Police are questioning a person and are treating the mans death as homicide.
