Malta has been removed from the Financial Action Task Force,(FATF) so-called “grey-listing”.
The decision to take Malta off the list was made during a FATF plenary taking place in Germany this week.
A year ago the FATF found Malta lacking in some areas of combating money laundering placed the country under increased monitoring.
During a plenary in February thr FATF made the initial determination that Malta has substantially completed its action plan with almost all reforms carried out and decided to make an on-site visit.
