The BBC Concert Orchestra will return to the Floriana Pits on July 9.
The theme chosen for this year is ‘Classic Rock Anthems’ and will include a mix of rock and pop music from world renowned artists such as The Rolling Stones, Queen, David Bowie, Prince, Lady Gaga, Coldplay, The Beatles, Tina Turner, Fleetwood Mac, Cher and Elvis.
These details were announced at a press conference by the Minister for Tourism Clayton Bartolo in the presence of the Chairman of the Malta Tourism Authority Gavin Gulia as well as the Managing Director of GetonMusicMedia Jason Carter.
Minister Clayton Bartolo listed how this event augurs for a busy summer in which the tourism industry will continue to recover and strengthen. “Despite the challenging times the tourism sector has gone through, Malta has continued to attract high-profile activities – a clear demonstration of how much we believe the tourist must offer a quality experience in every field. This should be the mentality that continues to guide us so that our country continues to strengthen its tourism product in the best possible way, “stressed Minister Bartolo.
Chairman Gavin Gulia pointed out that activities such as the BBC Concert Orchestra are another link in the vision of the Authority for the tourism sector, through which our country will be a destination for events for all ages.
Managing Director Jason Carter expressed his enthusiasm and that of the rest of the organizers for their return to Malta.
