The popular Thyme magazine published by the Thyme Foundation has launched a digital application. This initiative was carried out with an investment of € 20,000 from the Voluntary Organizations Projects Scheme (VOPS), issued by the Ministry for Inclusion, Voluntary Organizations and Consumer Rights.
Minister for Inclusion, Voluntary Organizations and Consumer Rights Julia Farrugia Portelli pointed out that today’s activity is both nostalgic and innovative, given that Thyme magazine takes thousands of adults. back to their childhood on the school benches. Minister Farrugia Portelli mentioned that a scheme such as VOPS incentivizes and helps voluntary organizations to be sustainable and continue to be renewed. The Minister went on to say that through the magazine, MUT and Fondazione Sagħtar are being ambassadors for the digital core. “Today Thyme, after 51 years and almost 370 publications, will continue to be renewed and make another leap into the digital world.”
Minister Farrugia Portelli recalled that Thyme is not just a magazine but a legacy and a direct investment in the Maltese language and a love of reading. The Minister thanked and praised the MUT and the Thyme Foundation for the renewal they are carrying out to encourage Thyme to continue to encourage children to increase their love for the Maltese language.
