As Malta is on the threshold of hosting the Special Olympics Malta Invitational Games 2022, the official song ‘Going for Gold’ has been launched by the President of Special Olympics Malta, Dr Lydia Abela.
The song, written by Ira Losco and Howard Keith, and sung by Ira Losco herself, talks about each athlete’s determination to not only get into his personal life but also to the sports scene. Moreover, it conveys a message in favor of everyone’s abilities.
At a news conference, Dr. Lydia Abela said that these games are a celebration of everyone’s skills. Above all, it is a celebration of the way in which athletes and their families manage to overcome their daily difficulties and focus on their abilities.
