Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health Chris Fearne and Parliamentary Secretary for Citizenship and Communities Alex Muscat inaugurated a new health clinic in Tarxien.
In addition to the services of a doctor and a nurse, podiatry, nutritionist, speech and language pathology, physiotherapy, as well as blood sampling will be offered in this aubergine.
Minister Fearne said that great strides have been made in the field of primary care and greatly increased the services offered in the field of primary care – among others from April a Long Covid Clinic will also be introduced where people who have recovered from acute phase but still suffer from some particular symptoms can be treated.
Oncology services in the field of primary care will also be on the rise, including those with stable prostate and thyroid cancer.
Deputy Prime Minister Chris Fearne said that the Tarxien Auberge is one of a number of aubergines held around Malta and Gozo in the last two years. “We are committed to having a community health clinic in every town and village in our country with some of them, such as those of Ta ‘Ġiorni and Ħamrun, which will be able to start operating in the coming weeks,” he said.
